Wendy Vail Konopka was born in Scranton in 1960 and raised in the small town of Factoryville, PA. She spent her childhood on a dairy farm until her father died of cancer in 1970. Wendy received a BSW from Eastern University in 1982. She married Brian Konopka in 1983 and they recently celebrated 33 years of marriage. In 2015, Wendy, Brian and her son Jason decided to start a new chapter in their lives by moving across the country. They now reside in Green Valley, AZ. Wendy works part time at La Posada for Casa Community Services as a caregiver. Wendy is following in her mother's footsteps. Her mom, Mildred Jacoby Vail wrote a book of poetry in 1984. Wendy fondly.
